Our pilots have just returned from rescue operations in the U’dray ion storms, a portion of the Hook Nebula. Our pilots flew in a particularly dense region, which happened to be the Trellisk’s last known position. Upon arriving to the scene, we detected many sensor echos and had to make close visual scanning of each ion pocket in order to locate the transport.
We were provided with a light transport for recovery operations as we feared the worst. Our suspicions proved accurate when Doublehooks was the first to report wreckage and some derelict cargo containers. We opted to continue the search for escape pods, as the mission turned into a Search and Rescue operation.
The presence of Imperial TIE Fighters in the region closed the case on what happened to the Trellisk. Grim Squadron engaged in some light dogfighting, attempting to keep the recovery transport clear. Due to heavy ion interference weapon ranges were limited. Tough to find our marks in all the mess. JEB begins to take some damage.

LT. Jasall locates an escape pod! Most of the crew are bottled up inside, and we signal for the transport to come dock and pick them up. We seem to be in the nick of time, because a TIE Bomber squadron enters visual range, and something else.. a fighter of unknown configuration. It was difficult to get any reading on it, whether it was actually there or not.
JEB volunteered (being the closest at the time) to make a pass and attempt to get some gun footage of the craft for Alliance command to review. We sorely underestimated their firepower, and JEB was left on-fire careening uncontrollably into the ion clouds. These new fighters seemed to vanish from scopes, indicating some sort of micro cloaking device.
We were all caught flat footed. We ran interference just enough for the transport to recover the escape pod, and return to base. We recovered JEB and were able to jump out ourselves in time.
A new cloaked Imperial fighter, this is a new problem we’re going to have to face. And it looks familiar…

Alliance Report to General Taesh;
Lieutenant Jasall
Grim Squadron, Aturi Region
From: General Taesh, Commander - Aturi Cluster Operations
To: Grim Squadron
Pilots, the Alliance's operations here in the Aturi owe you a great deal of gratitude. Thanks to your quick thinking you have rescued over a dozen key personnel. While we lost the weapons and not all of our people made it out of the maelstrom we have still snatched victory out of the jaws of a crushing defeat. You've done well.
Take some time to get your ships fixed up, it looks like your ships have been put through the ringer. Once our recon team gets back we may have some new targets for you to attack deeper in the cluster. They should be back anytime now...
