The first run through we were getting used to the vassal system and how the campaign AI worked. We all split up and Aarip Jasall lost his Stealth device in the opening volley at range one with a TIE fighter.
Scorch and Lt. Jasall were womped on by two interceptors and could not score any meaningful hits with autoblaster and laser fire. Out of four shots only one hit. Scorch was forced to eject, and Aarip fled the table edge, on fire and heavily damaged.
Jeb dropped a bomb, and took on several TIES over by himself. Doublehooks scored several hits and looped around to engage the interceptors, but with two of their squadronmates down, they chose to regroup and hit the TIES again.

Picking up Scorch after he ejected, we regrouped and hit the TIES harder than before. In a new Y-Wing and seeking vengeance, Scorch brought down some TIES, and Jeb’s Y-Wing HOG was able to rip several TIES to shreds at long range.
The X-Wings were involved in some heated dogfighting and were chasing one final Interceptor when the All-Clear signal came in from the fleet, indicating they were able to Jump securely to the location of their new base. The Alliance starfighters locked in their own hyperdrives and the rookies rendezvoused at their new base, earning the moniker Grim Squadron, and beginning hit and fade operations against the Empire in this Aturi Cluster of space.
